Northeast Renewable Energy Resources, Inc. presents to Victor

On Tuesday, May 20 from 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., Bloomfield’s Northeast Renewable Energy Resources, Inc. will present a special alternative energy lesson for Victor Senior High School “Energy and Power” class students.

Using his mobile energy unit, Michael Parks, owner of Northeast Renewable Resources will not only demonstrate the use of a wind turbine to generate electricity, he will also show how an array of solar panels produces electricity. Mark Selvek, Victor Senior High School Technology teacher says this special interactive lesson, which will be held in the high school bus loop, is “a nice way for students to see alternative energy sources in action.”

“My goal is that students will leave with an awareness of alternative energy and how it can benefit our society and the environment,” Selvek said.

On their website, Northeast Renewable Resources, Inc. describes themselves as “pros at building independent power plants for remote homes, hunting cabins, and getaway homes.” Their site goes on to say, “Whether you are looking to help save the planet or make yourself independent from foreign sources we are your one stop power shop! We specialize in solving your energy problems.”
